Priscilla Presley has introduced a new addition to her family, revealing she adopted a 10-year-old senior rescue dog named Toby after he was found starving on the streets. PEOPLE published the story on October 13, 2026.

Presley shared the news in an Instagram video, explaining that a mutual acquaintance who knew of her love for animals alerted her to the fluffy white dog’s plight.

Before being rescued, Toby was neglected, malnourished, and wandering the streets with an unknown background.

Despite his difficult past and senior age, Presley shared that Toby has adjusted seamlessly to his new home, sleeping in her bed and listening well. She also noted that Toby gets along remarkably well with her other senior pet, a 15-year-old rescue dog named Boz.

A longtime animal rights advocate, Presley frequently uses her platform to promote animal adoption. Toby’s adoption comes several months after the passing of her long-time rescue dog, Ridley, in April.

My thoughts:

Senior dog adoptions often face lower rates due to potential medical needs, making high-profile rescue stories valuable for encouraging pet lovers to consider older animals.

The seamless integration between two senior rescue dogs—Toby at 10 and Boz at 15—highlights how older dogs can adapt smoothly to new home environments when given patience.

Presley’s continued advocacy reflects a long-standing commitment to animal welfare, using social media updates to bring visibility to rescue organizations.
