Fact Checking Policy

We’re dedicated to providing accurate and trustworthy information about our furry friends, which is why we take fact-checking seriously!

Here’s how:

1. Trusted sources

Our team of canine aficionados scours the internet, scientific literature, and reputable dog-related publications to gather information.

We also rely on trustworthy and certified sources, such as veterinary experts, animal behaviorists, and well-established dog organizations.

2. Bark-checked information

Our fact-checking team, led by our resident fact-hound, Fluffy, tirelessly sniffs out inconsistencies and errors in our content.

We then cross-reference information from multiple sources to confirm accuracy.

3. Vet-reviewed content

Before publication, our articles go through a rigorous review process led by our in-house veterinary expert, Dr. Paws McSniffs-a-Lot.

She ensures that all medical and health-related information meets professional standards.

Originality Policy

Our team of dedicated writers and contributors takes pride in crafting original content that reflects our passion for dogs and our commitment to offering fresh perspectives.

We have a strict policy against plagiarism. Copying, reproducing, or presenting someone else’s work as our own is not tolerated.

Contributions from our readers and fellow dog lovers are welcome! If you have an original story, photo, or idea to share, please do so! We encourage creativity and authenticity in your submissions.

Copyright laws and intellectual property rights are important to us too. If you believe your work has been used improperly on our site, please contact us, and we’ll address the issue promptly.

Corrections and Updates Policy

We’re not infallible—we can’t guarantee that our canine contributors (like our tech-savvy Lab, Pixel) won’t occasionally hit the wrong key.

If our readers or fellow dog lovers point out an terror, we appreciate the heads-up!

We’ll promptly correct any mistakes and provide updates as needed.

Product Review Standards

We take great care to fact-check all of our information and only publish content that meets our high standards.

When it comes to product reviews, we believe in transparency and honesty.

All of our reviews are written by editorial team members who have personally tested the products themselves.

We do not accept sponsored content or allow outside influences to sway our opinions.

Our reviews are based solely on our own experiences and opinions, and we strive to provide our readers with helpful and unbiased reviews.

Note: We purchase or borrow all the products we review and do not receive any incentives from merchants at all. This is so that we can retain our independence in the editorial process and be free to speak our minds. You should also know that we sometimes get paid a commission (at no extra cost to you) for some products as they are affiliate links (learn more on our disclosure page).

The reason for doing this is simple: If we maintain a high standard in our recommendations, you are less likely to return a product, which allows us to keep our commission.

If we don’t, you will not return and we will lose our readership, something we hold dear and place the highest importance on.

Tail-Wagging Transparency

We strongly believe in building trust with our readers by being transparent and open about our practices.

As such, we are committed to delivering honest, unbiased, and accurate information in our content. Our articles are crafted to provide you with the most reliable insights into the world of dogs.

Sometimes, we may partner with advertisers or sponsors. When we do, we’ll clearly disclose any sponsored content, partnerships, or affiliate links in our articles. Rest assured, our opinions remain honest and independent.

We value your privacy and take it seriously. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Feel free to review it to understand our data practices better.

Lastly, we encourage open dialogue and welcome comments and engagement from our readers. However, we do moderate comments to ensure a respectful and safe environment for all. Rest assured, your voices matter to us.
