Poor Zuzi was living a rough life as a stray pup, hanging around the parking lot of some company.

Can you imagine how scary that must have been for her?

Things only got worse when the dogcatchers tried to round her up.

Let me tell you, those guys didn’t exactly have a gentle touch.

They traumatized the poor girl so badly that she would panic and bolt anytime someone came near her.

My heart breaks thinking about how terrified she must have felt.

The rescuers knew they had to get creative to help Zuzi.

Using one of those catch poles was out of the question – that would have just added to her trauma.

So, they made the tough call to tranquilize her.

I know it sounds extreme, but they did it with so much care because they wanted to give this sweet pup a second chance.

And you know what? It worked!

Slowly but surely, Zuzi started learning that not all humans are out to hurt her.

Can you picture her tail wagging as she realized she could trust again?

She’s such a lovebug now, getting all snuggly with her doggy and kitty friends.

Learning how to walk on a leash is still a work in progress, but hey, baby steps!

For now, she’s happiest feeling safe in a cozy yard or garden.

But get this – the most incredible update is that Zuzi found her forever family!

A wonderful couple from Canada heard about her story and the struggles street dogs face in Romania.

They knew they had to act, so they adopted our girl and whisked her off to her new home up north! I’m not crying, you’re crying!

Zuzi’s life went from neglect and fear to being smothered in love by her new humans.

It’s moments like these that make all the hardship worth it.

I’m just so glad this brave little pup gets to live her best life now.
