A routine live television broadcast turned into internet gold when an overly affectionate dog decided that a meteorologist’s weather report was the perfect time to demand treats and attention.
Global News Maritimes meteorologist Anthony Farnell was in the middle of delivering an important weather update regarding approaching storm systems when his beloved dog, Storm the Goldendoodle, casual strolled directly onto the green screen set.
Rather than being deterred by the rolling cameras or the massive weather graphics, Storm walked directly into the center of the frame, completely oblivious to the fact that he was blocking the radar maps. Farnell, proving to be an absolute professional, barely missed a beat.
He continued tracking the weather patterns and high-pressure systems while seamlessly incorporating the dog into the broadcast, even joking that Storm was looking for treats moving across the region.
The control room crew and viewers at home were treated to a genuinely hilarious sight as the dog wandered back and forth across the virtual map, tracking the meteorologist’s hand movements in hopes of a snack.
